UPDATE: The Aran will be released in GMS on December 9th, 2009!! A new race was released in KMST: Aran, a polearm-based job. It works like Cygnus, it's a totally different character selection screen, but this time the level limit is 200 like The Adventurers, and currently it is only one job (and probably it will stay like that), This job is based on polearms and on the new Combo system (works only with The Aran race). With the new system, some skills can only be casted after you reached a required number of combos. For example, the 4th Job skill "Tempest" can only be casted after you got 300 combos, and so on. This is a short video showing you the gameplay of an Aran. Also, the majority of the skills can only be casted after pressing a combination of buttons (like ↓ → + Skill Key). Becoming an Aran Pt.2 www.youtube.com Well people seemed to like the Becoming a Knight of Cygnus video so I thought I would do it again with the Aran race. I will show you level 1-10 and the job Advance. This can also double as the first part of the quests videos I will do. This was over 20 minutes long so I have to shorten it and split it into two parts. Well I started by showing the new server they added called Dar. It has a little pole arm icon and currently has a 2x exp drop and exp event. You will see I also have 5 character slots. This is because I got an extra one with the release of Cygnus then again with the release of Aran. That is pretty generous of Nexon. You create an Aran by just selecting the new character option, then highlighting the Aran race. Ignore the little password pop up. That is just the game asking me for my KSSN which isnt relevant to any other version. Not much choice for Arans. All you can change is the face and hair. When you play your character for the first time you are greeted to basically an interactive cut scene. Its very cinematic and impressive. Nexon have really gone all out of Arans they have lots of little extra details. Way more polished than Cygnus. The scene is a flash back to the past, the same time as Ellin Forest. The Black Magician is attacking and everyone is fleeing on the boat to Ellin Forest. You wake up after being injured in Battle. As you can see you are level 200 because you are already a great and powerful warrior ...

I play in Demethos, btw, so message me here if you want to know my ign! ==Pre-Quest===== You will need the following before starting the quest: --Maker Skill (try other video tutorials for that one) --1 Dark Crystal --3 Diamond Ores --3 Garnet Ores ===Quest====== --Start off by accepting the quest that appears when you hit 70. --Go to Rein and talk to Ririn. --Go over to Mach and talk to him. --Now go to the map that has the whale that takes you to Lith Harbor (3 or 4 maps right) and fight the Black Crow. --Go back and talk to Mach, and then talk to Ririn. --Head to the Cave of Mirrors, which is the last map to the left. --Accept the quest from the yeti. --Go to the portal next to the yeti and fight the crow again. --Come back out, talk to the yeti, and then open up the Maker skill. Lvl 80 - 90: Aqua Road - Deep Sea Gorge II - Goby & Bone Fish - Before Leafre/Malaysia was available, this was a very popular training spot. It use to be very crowded and now its kinda empty. I may be the few who still train here with my bowman. =/ - Each Goby House you break up, 6 Gobies fly out and each give 1400 exp. Multiply that by 6 and you get 8400 EXP. When you reach level 30 a quest light bulb will appear above your head. Accept it and head to Rien. There you finally get to meet Mach. Just talk to him and you'll get a tiny cut scene. Then go talk to Lilin/Ririn. She will tell you to go to the Cave at the very top or Rien, so make your way there. I decided to add a mini map and mark out the route in red. It's really easy to get there in game all you do is walk left from town but I think it helps give a better understanding for people who have never been there. Once you make your way inside there will be a glowing blue portal, just go through it and you will be transported somewhere else. The moment you enter the clock will count down from 15 minutes. It is a Mu Lung themed map. It also has the flash back style effect they used on the intro around the corners of the screen. Talk to the Panda NPC there to begin the quest. It may be a new fancy setting but it's the same old same old. Just kill monsters and collect 30 etc pieces they drop. They are just like the other bears in Mu Lung but a lot cooler looking. As usual they also give no exp. Make your way left to the next map and get killing. I was surprised how easy this was. It was a total breeze to get all 30 badges. To me this is the easiest 2nd job advance in the game. The Cygnus advancement is easier than the Adventurers but this is way easier. Then again the pirate job advance is rather simple so maybe that should win the title. Anyway once you have all 30 just head ...

Visit my blogspot at: www.Alistun.blogspot.com GMS - Lvl 120 Aran Kavorina [Bellocan] I was finally able to reach level 120 yesterday without leech. :) It took 11 - 12 days since the release day at night on Thursday December 10th. Because it was released during the weeks I was still in school (before holiday break), I wasn't able to play as much. Also, If you all didn't know, Nexon changed the Party exp system (leecher gains only 20% exp I think) to prevent leeching, so leeching is much MUCH slower than training now. I'll try to break it down as to how I reached lvl 120. My holiday break had not started until December 19th, so I was in school and busy before that date. During each of those days, I played about only 3 -4 hrs (which were mostly the times of my 2x exp time slots). Since I had school covering my morning and afternoon, I usually played from 7pm - 11pm before I went to bed. On the first day (or first night since Aran was released 4 hrs before midnight xD), I reached around lvl 40. And the following days before I reached lvl 120, I gained around 7 - 9 levels each day during the 4 hr training, except the last two days which I had only gained 3 -4 levels each time. For those who are wondering how I was able to gain 7 -9 levels every 4 hrs of each day, it was because I was using 4x exp 90% of the time. Some of those times were during 2x event, so I didn't have to use my family reps, just my 2x exp card. I also had a bishop to give me holy symbol while I was ...

It deals damage when you bump into monster. However, it does not return a portion of the monster damage to the monster who bump into you. 2. Body Pressure damage depends on your accuracy to hit the monster. If you lack of accuracy, your body pressure will miss the monster. Comparing this skill to Power Guard, power guard is independent from accuracy. It does not rely on accuracy to decide whether it can reflect or cant reflect the damage. 3. Body Pressure has a unique buff that affects monster only but not mini boss nor boss. This buff can be channeled through activating your Body Pressure and using your body to bump into monster OR your attacks. Having done both (bump + attack), it increases the chance of buffing the monster. 4. Body Pressure buff helps alot in saving HP Potion (Health potion). However, you would not want to activate this skill if you want to take physical damage over magic damage (if you train on mobs that is capable of using/shooting magic attacks. Aran has weak magic defense but strong weapon defense like warrior. 5. Body Pressure Buff works on Monster Carnival 1 non-boss monsters. Hanabira-kage mentioned that it does not work on Monster Carnival 2. 6. Body Pressure is helpful at maintaining your combo while you are up for something. Go to Rien and speak to him. 2) Go to the Rien Harbor and kill the Black Crow. It is the map all the way to the right of Rien. 3) Go back to Maha. Then speak to Lilin. Now go to the ice cave to the left of Rien; the one where you did your 2nd job advancement. You'll be transported to another map where a Yeti NPC will be present. Talk to him and enter the portal to kill the Black Crow again. 4) Return to Rien and make the Red Jade. You will need 1 Dark Crystal, 3 Diamond Ores, and 3 Garnet Ores. 5) Give Maha the Red Jade and you'll receive your 3rd Job Advancement. =)

This was such a grueling mount to obtain. xx ===Pre-quest========== - 500 Broken Horns (Skelegon Drops) - 500 Wyvern Wings (Red Wyvern drops) - 500 Frozen Shark's Fin (Cold Fish Drops) - 80000000 (80m) ===================== -Head three maps right of Rien to Dangerous Forest (the one right before Cave of MIrrors) -Talk to the NPC Wolf Guard on the top right of the map. He'll send you to a new map -Talk to the NPC wolf and accept his quest. -He'll send you to a new map where you have to kill all of the Wolf Underlings in 10 minutes. -Afterwards, head back and talk to him. -You will need the above etc drops to make the potion to get your new mount. -Head to Aqua Road: Dangerous Valley to hunt 500 Cold Shark drops -While you're there, talk to Kenta and buy the wolf fang for 80m -Head to any of the Red Wyvern maps and hunt 500 Wyvern Wings -You should already have the 500 Broken horns from training at skellies. -When you're done, maker the potion in the "ETC" tab of your Maker skill. -When you're done, talk to the wolf NPC again.

Well guys, it's been a while. I'm...er...slowly leveling. ^_^" Working on a Page right now and Evans just came out so...yeah. Note that I'm not making Evan videos or whatever, I just don't like them. I might make GMS Dual Blade videos, but we'll see. At any rate, here's a short video of training at one of the new Neo City expansion maps. The monsters have 9.34m HP and give about 11200 exp. oo If you're an Aran, you NEED to use Combo Tempest to train even somewhat effectively on this. Although it is nice to see Arans hitting 9340000. 7 digits = hot. I don't know the exp/hr rate yet but I'll let you know later.

Since the release of Aran last week (7 -8 days ago), I've been playing 3 -4 hours a day, literally. I have school for 8 hours and I spend a couple hours on homework and going out, so each day I only play 3 -4 hours (which is just during my 2x exp time). So this makes me wonder about those who call me a "no lifer." If playing for 3 -4 hours a day is considered having no life, then what is 'Considered' having a life, playing for 5 minutes? Look at it this way,playing 4 hours a day is only 1 of day, whereas 1/3 (8 hrs) of a day is spent on sleep, another 1/3 (8 hrs) being spent in school and the last 1/3 (8 hrs) is free time which is homework and play. So I don't really understand how this is considered "no life." If you know the answer, feel free to comment on how playing 3 -4 hours a day is considered having no life. Of course, I know that many of you are quite intelligent and so don't take this the wrong way, this argument is mostly directed to those are are ignorant. =) *********** I wanted to test my damage with an Onyx apple, so I used it while training at Galloperas. Finally I have been awakened by the voice of this girl ..called Lilin, a beautiful ice-cold looking girl who belongs to the Rien clan. Lilin told me that I was one of the heroes that fought the Black Magician hundreds of years ago, but the Black Magician was stronger than me.. and cursed me I was imprisoned and asleep in the ice for a very long time.. I lost all my memories and abilities.. Was I a hero? .. Lilin told me she and the inhabitants of Rien would help me regain my abilities back. It has a story line :DDD lolz enjoy....

So, I made a lvl 89 Aran and I'm too lazy to level any further, so I decided to put together all the random clips i recorded on my Aran and make an inspirational video. In my opinion, arans are the most fun class to level, and they also pack a pretty good damage. Plus they can aoe over 12 mobs even at level 10. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FAQ: Q: Why is your damage so low? A: I'm unfunded, on a new world (that doesn't have any zhelms yet) and I also got bad equips. Q: Why are you wearing a level 35 helmet at level 80+? A: As i said, I'm on a new world that doesn't have any zhelms yet. Q: Why were you hitting that much in monster survival last stage? Then talk to Jin Jin after. 2) Collect 50 Straw Dolls, 50 Wooden Dolls, and 100 Broken Piece of Pots, and 500k Mesos. These drops can be found from the following monsters Straw Target Dummy (Lv 50) - Straw Doll Wooden Target Dummy (Lvl 51) - Wooden Doll Jar (Lvl 47) - Broken Piece of Pot 3) Return them to Jin Jin. He'll give you an etc scroll. Double click on it and drag the ink onto it until the scroll is complete. Then talk to Mr. Do again. 4) Go speak to So Gong at the Dojo. Collect 100 Bellflowers for him from the monster Bellflower Root (Lvl 53). 5) Go outside of the Dojo and click up on the Green Flag at the right side. Keep going up until you reach the top. 6) Talk to Mu Gong and fight him. Be careful he render you powerless with seduce. After killing him, talk to him and he'll give you a password. For those who never read what the npc tells you and click to fast, the password is at 4:56 of the video. 7) Go to the last map of the Practice Field and find the red pole with the word 'Entrance' on it. Click on it and type in the password exactly (the password is case sensitive). 8) Talk to the Shadow Warrior and fight him. 9) Return to Mu Gong and talk to him. 10) Go back to Lith Harbor and speak to Tru. He'll tell you to return to Rien. Speak to Lilin and she'll award you with the ...

The first two matches of the World S circuit Opponents: Aran Ryan Soda Popinski This time Aran Ryan uses a special weapon in the fight. I did know about the instant KO at the time, but I wanted to TKO him in round 1. It was fun trying to dodge his weapon attack. Soda Popinski seems a little faster in this match. If you successfully dodge him and counter him, you seem to get more hits off of him until he hits you.
