PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION!! Here is another lyrics video I made with Metallica. I just got the album today and I felt like posting my favorite song from it on youtube today! This only took me 2 hours to make :-) Now to clear things up... 1. I get the "girl/phone" joke now :P 2. I know I wrote 'I'm bored' in the solo. I did NOT say I'm bored of the solo, during my work I got bored of putting quote crap so I just put that I was bored of working, and to just wait until the end of the solo for more lyrics. 3. I know I messed up on some of the lyrics, but don't take it personal. Few mistakes happen to everyone once in a while, but there is no way I will delete this video with loads of views/comments/ratings just to change a few errors. 4. The quotes aren't mine. 5. I know that some of you don't like the quotes, you'd rather have pictures instead. I put pictures at the beginning but deleted them from my documents afterward so they got deleted. So therefore, I was too lazy to put them back in and just put quotes instead. If you don't like it, suck it up, you can listen to the studio version itself. 6. I know that before the solo, there is a "Fix me!" Shout right before then that I forgot to put in. I'm sorry for that, I didn't know what was being said there. I was looking at the booklet that came with the CD for lyrics, and it didn't show what was said there. If you want to, go ahead and shout out "Fix me!" Episode 1. In the opening episode of this series John Peter McAllister is introduced as an American who remained in Japan after the War and became a Ninja. He has just discovered he has a daughter after many years and decides to go to America to find her. On his way out he is wounded by a former protégé who vows to track him down to stop him from breaking the Ninja code. Meanwhile in America in the town of Ellerston a drifter and wannabe hero Max Keller runs into a girl who flags him down on the road. Apparently the girl was being attacked or come on to be a corrupt Sheriff. Max saves her and learns that the girl, Holly Trumbull and her father own an airport which is trying to be closed and bought out by a scheming land developer. The Master meanwhile arrives and runs in to trouble with the sheriff at the bar. The Master demonstrates his amazing skill to Max during a fight in the bar with the Sheriff and other hoodlums. Max decides he wants to become a ninja. Arson to the Trumbull's Airport causes even more problems for the heroes as the team up to stop the evil land developer and his cohorts. Max tags along with the Master in hopes of becoming a Ninja and to also help him find his daughter.

Episode 2. A Cult 80's martial arts TV series, focusing on an aging American ninja master and his headstrong young apprentice search for the elder man's daughter. John Peter Macallister, was a Korean veteran who after serving, decided to live in Japan, and while there, he studied Ninjitsu and became a Ninja. 30 years later he learned that he has a daughter, so left, to find her. But apparently, he can't leave the sect that he is with, cause it means that he is now marked for death. He manages to escape and upon arriving in the States, he meets Max Keller, a drifter who has a penchant for getting involved with other people's problems and helping them out if he can. Max and Macallister hook up with Max helping him find his daughter, and Macallister teaching him the ways of the ninja. At the same evading Okasa, one of Macallister's students who is now sworn to kill him.

I'm playing along to the middle section of "Metallica - Master of Puppets", including the solos. At the time I recorded this video, I didn't have the tremolo bar for the Floyd Rose system, so I used pinch harmonics and bends for the squealie part of the solo. (I have since acquired a new tremolo bar.) I have received many comments about the first part of the interlude being played "too high". People making such comments don't realize that this part is a dual guitar harmony. James and Kirk each play a separate melody (one high and one low) to produce a very nice harmony. On the studio album, the high part of the harmony is much lower in the mix, hence the reason it sounds a bit strange when I play it in this video. However, if you listen to any live version of the song you will clearly hear this. If you still don't believe me, I have cut out a small audio clip of their performance with the SF orchestra and isolated Kirk's harmony part. Check out the link and hear it for yourself: www.box.net (Note: They have tuned down for this performance--it's not in E standard) Audio was directly recorded to my computer using output from a Line 6 POD.
